The Book of Changes states: "Tai Chi gives birth to two rituals, and two rituals give birth to four elephants." The "four elephants" refer to the ancient mythological legends of "Green Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Xuanwu," also known as the "Four Gods" and "Four Spirits," representing the four directions of east, south, west, and north, and dividing the Heavenly Palace into twenty-eight mansions. On the square: four White Marble statues of mythical animals stand in the four directions, and the Taiji Temple is in the center, praying for the peace and prosperity of the country and the people in China.
